Three Tier Grievance Redressal Structure  

Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) has prescribed a Three Tier Grievance Redressal Mechanism for the easy and quick resolution of complaints related to the consumers residing in the area of NCT of Delhi. To know more about the process, Click Here. In order to implement the same in NDMC Area, an Electricity Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (New Delhi Municipal Council Area) has been Established. Follwing Three Tier procedure may be followed by the Electricity Consumers in NDMC Area for the quick resolution of their complaints.


TIER- I (NDMC Complaint Escalation & Redressal Structure)

The below mentioned officers attend to complaints of various consumers from 3.00 PM to 4.30 PM every day:-

TIER - II
If consumer is still not satisfied with the resolution/response, after exhausting all complaint handling procedure at NDMC, in respect of grievances like New Connection, Billing, Metering, Power Outage, Power Fluctuation, Load Shedding, Load Enhacement / Reduction, Streer Lights, Disconnection / Reconnection of Power Supply, Power Theft/Unauthorized Use of Electricity, Name Change, Street Lights, Transfer of Connection and Change of Category then consumer may approach Electricity Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (ECGRF) at the following Location :-.




Note: Forum shall not entertain a complaint if it pertains to the subject matter for which any proceedings are pending before any Court. Further, forum does not have jurisdiction to adjudicate on matters related to assessment in relation to unauthorized use of electricity, Appeal against the assessment, Theft of Electricity, Power to adjudicate, Compounding of offences, Notice of accidents and inquiries etc. which fall U/s 126, 127, 135, 139, 143, 152 & 161 of Indian Electricity Act, 2003.




TIER III
If not satisfied with ECGRF order, an appeal against ECGRF orders may be filed with the Electricity Ombudsman at the following Location :-
